An off-duty police officer in Clearwater was suspected but
never charged with a DUI. In fact, the two on-duty officers that pulled him
over drove this officer home. The officer was reportedly seen stumbling out of
the bar, getting into his car and taking off.
Witnesses saw the officer driving
dangerously and called 911 to report this to them. According to reports, the
two officers knew he had been drinking but no sobriety test of and kind was
given. The officer was later suspended for five days and is now issued random
drug tests.
