Six Hospitalized After Two Drivers Collide


Two alleged drunk drivers collided in Oroville, Washington in mid-afternoon. The crash left two young children and a pedestrian hospitalized. The pedestrian pushed another female pedestrian out of the way of the oncoming car, leaving him injured.

Speeding While Intoxicated


A 17-year-old diver of Madison, Wisconsin, was clocked going 100 miles per hour early Sunday morning. Hilario Lopez-Xelhua was arrested after the deputy conducted field sobriety tests.

Media County, of Ohio, has seen a decrease in deaths caused by drunken driving in the past year. The community has increased efforts to prevent drunken driving by adding sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols. These efforts have raised awareness around the community about the dangers of drunken driving.

A Young Girl Hopes to Spread Drunk Driving Awareness


A 14-year-old girl, Dakota Baker, of Moultrie, Georgia, wants her voice to be heard regarding drunk driving. The Baker family lost their son to a drunken driver in 2010. Dakota hopes to encourage people not to drink and drive because of the effects it has on everyone involved.

Gillette Stadium Owners Reach Agreement for Drunken Driving Deaths


After attending Country Fest at Gillette stadium about five years back, two young girls were killed in a drunken driving accident after tailgating. 20-year-old Deborah David and 19-year-old Alexa Lateo were both killed on the night of the concert.

Vivian Vergayes, whose friend was killed by a drunken driver, has started a new non-profit organization called “Friends Against Drunk Driving”. The goal of the organization is to establish a go-to person for those who have lost a friend or loved one due to a drunken driver.

Viral Video Leads to Prison Time for a Drunken Driver


Matthew Cordle, of Ohio, who confessed via a YouTube to driving drunk and killing a man, was sentenced to six and half years in prison and lifetime suspension of his license. Several days following the video’s release, Cordle surrendered to authorities and he was charged for the crash.

Drunk Driver Pleads for Help, Not Jail-Time


Scott Fitzgerald, of Winnipeg, argues he needs help, not punishment for his two DUI convictions that left two people injured. Fitzgerald pleaded for “curative discharge”. The discharge would allow him to complete treatment during probation rather than serving jail time.

The Utah Highway Patrol teamed up with Zombies Against Drunk Driving for the second time in the past two years to remind drivers of the affects of drunken driving. Halloween is a holiday that lends itself to many DUI arrests each year, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving held a fund raiser in Fort Worth, Texas last week to raise money for awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and how it can be prevented.  Fort Worth youth pastor Brian Jennings and 3 women were recently killed in an accident involving a drunk driving.

1,000th Repeat OWI Offender in Milwaukee since 2010


Kevin Hutchins of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was arrested during the early morning after leading Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed, 7 mile chase.  After being spotted driving in the wrong lane, police attempted to pull Hutchins over who sped away from police in an attempt to escape.  Hutchins had been arrested for OWI twice before.

Man Arrested for Driving Lawnmower Drunk


Tony Caulder, of Kennebunk, Maine, was recently arrested for driving under the influence after he was arrested while operating a ride-on lawnmower. Caulder was allegedly already drunk when he decided to take a trip to the convenience store to get more beer. So he climbed onto his lawnmower and rode it to the store where employees refused to sell him any alcohol due to his intoxicated state.

Drunk Woman Strikes Biker with 4 Children in Her Car


A man riding his bike in Portland, Oregon was hit from behind from a car that sped off after knocking him off of his bike, luckily without being seriously injured.  A couple who witnessed the hit and run followed the car a few blocks where the driver was arrested.

Plumber Convicted of DUI is Still Driving for the Seattle Government


Art Cochrane of Seattle, WA has been convicted multiple times for driving under the influence of alcohol. Back in 2002 he spent two days in jail and had to attend a DUI victim’s panel after crashing his car into a ditch and having a blood alcohol content of 0.18.

Indiana Firefighter Arrested Twice In One Week for DUI


A firefighter in Bloomington, Indiana was arrested twice in one week for driving while intoxicated.  The firefighter, James Parrott, was charged with two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, one count of OUI with a BAC greater than 0.15, and one count of OUI with a BAC between 0.08 and 0.15.  On Thursday, October 24th, Parrott was shockingly sentenced to no jail time.
