Scott Fitzgerald, of Winnipeg, argues he needs help, not punishment for his two DUI convictions that left two people injured. Fitzgerald pleaded for “curative discharge”. The discharge would allow him to complete treatment during probation rather than serving jail time.
Fitzgerald plans to collect evidence from his physician regarding his addiction and need for rehab.
