More States Adopting 24/7 Sobriety Program


Nebraska lawmakers are implementing a preventative program used in South Dakota that includes a breathalyzer test twice a day for offenders.
According to South Dakota officials it has decreased repeat OUI offenders by as much 12% since it was started in 2005. There is also a new monitoring technology that can test BAC through skin perspiration using an ankle bracelet. Omaha officials hope to get funding approved for this testing method.
