Matthew Cordle Convicted After Youtube Confession


22-year-old Matthew Cordle, of Powell, Ohio, recently uploaded a video to youtube where he confesses to killing a man in a drunk driving accident. In the video confessional Cordle admits that on June 22, 2013 he struck Navy veteran, Vincent Canzani, leading to his death.
Cordle was found at the crime scene with injuries caused by the accident and a blood alcohol content of 0.19, over double the legal limit.  Cordle originally pleaded not guilty to the charges but changed to a guilty plea after releasing the video.  Prosecutors sought the maximum sentence for this crime, but Cordle was charged instead with 6.5 years in prison.
