Police Officer Accused Of Drunk Driving


A police officer in Garfield, NJ was accused of driving under the influence and crashing a car into a building, shortly after he was sworn into the department. Patrick. Sajewicz is being charged with assault by auto, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and careless motor vehicle operation causing property damage.

At the time of the accident, Sajewicz was driving a 2014 Infinity when he allegedly lost control of his car and collided into a building. Mr. Sajewicz plead not guilty to the charges imposed on him.
He has been a part of the Police force since the start of September and was sworn in on October 7th. He still remains part of the force, and no immediate suspension has taken effect.
