On August
12, off duty police officer Richard Christopher drove south on the northbound
side of I-87 in his Dodge Dakota pick-up truck, slamming into another vehicle.
In the other vehicle, was James DeVito.
Christopher was well over the legal
limit of 0.08% when he turned his car around and drove into DeVito. The autopsy
reports that DeVito was free of any alcohol or drugs during the crash.
