Giselle Mendoza, 16-year-old, asleep in her bedroom was killed when a
drunk driver slammed his vehicle into her apartment complex early on Sunday. The driver has been identified as 20-year-old
Roberto Rodriguez, who lost control when he made a turn around 3:50 a.m. It is
reported that Mendoza was killed on impact.
Rodriguez has been charged with
vehicular manslaughter and has been taken to the hospital for minor treatment.
He has been released on $100,000 bail and is due back in court on April 22nd. Rodriguez lives across the street from
Mendoza.
