Drunk Driver Arraigned after Causing Boston Man’s Death in Crash

Nicholas G. Salvo, 23, was released on $10,000 cash bail following arraignment for charges of “motor vehicle homicide while under the influence of alcohol, failing to stop for a red light, reckless operation, speeding and a marked lanes violation.”
The bail amount was $15,000 less than what prosecutors requested.  In the drunk driving accident caused by Salvo, 63-year-old David J. Munise was killed when his vehicle was hit by Salvo, who ran the red light. Salvo will be back in court in June for a pretrial hearing.
