Night Of Fun Ruins Life Of One Teen

Jessica Rasdall and Laura Gorman had been best friends since kindergarten, sharing all of their life experiences together.  As college freshmen when they were 18 years old, they even went to the same school and worked at the same local Hooters.  But on February 25, 2006, it all came crashing down.

That night, both were done with work, and went to a club.  After some drinks, they got into a car, Rasdall driving, and their night of fun ended with Gorman dead and Rasdall charged with killing her.

Now, facing 10 to 15 years imprisonment, Rasdall has spoken in front of thousands, detailing that night, confessing “I killed my best friend.”

She also confesses to feeling overwhelming regret, remorse, and survivor’s guilt -- “I wish I could take her place that night.”

After work that night, the two decided to go dancing.  The bar they went to was letting women 18 and older in free of charge.  Once inside, a worker there said it didn’t matter if they were 21 or not, and waved a bartender to get the girls shots.  At 3am, the girls left the club, Rasdall at the wheel.  One mile from Laura’s dorm, the car went off the road into a tree.  Gorman died of blunt force trauma, while Rasdall was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

She faces serious imprisonment, and is now shunned by the Gorman family, who blame her for their daughter’s death.
