Drunk Volunteers Help Police Train In Suffolk County

No you did not misread the title - drunk volunteers were working directly with police.  The reason?  With summer approaching in Suffolk County, New York, police officers are doing what they can to prepare for the coming boating season. On Long Island a special training session was held to help educate officers on how to spot drunken boaters.
Four people from Suffolk County were fed alcohol by the police to get the most realistic outcome when checking for the sobriety of boat operators. "Oh my God, I'm so drunk. It's not funny," a female volunteer said. The point of the training is to have the boaters displaying all of the physiological signs of being intoxicated so that cops can learn and easily identify any possible violations on the water.
