New York City tried a new experiment to try and keep people
safer over the holidays. Patrons were allowed to call a taxi company and
request two drivers; one to take them home and another to drive their car home
when they’re too drunk.
The program started before Christmas and since than
1,800 people have taken advantage, with almost 500 on New Year’s Eve alone.
