Families gathered for the Mothers Against Drunk
Driving 5K at a Seattle park. Whether they had directly been impacted or knew
someone who lost a person because of a drunk driver. All the patrons who
participated in the walk/run gathered in effort to raise awareness.
Seattle
families, such as Dan Shulte, have lost immediate family members because of a
drunken driver. Shulte’s parents were killed and his wife and child were
severely injured. He believes the more awareness that is spread the more people
will realize it could happen to them. Bringing communities together through
events to raise awareness can help curb drunk driving deaths.
