A couple, who had lost their four year old daughter after
a woman ran her over while driving intoxicated, launched a campaign to changes
drunk driving laws in their Province.
Drivers now face being fined, their driver’s license being suspended, and their car being immediately impounded for at least three days if caught with a blood-alcohol level as low as 0.05. When the new law changed, impound lots started filling up fast and drunk driving deaths plunged. British Columbia saw a 55% reduction I deaths in just two years.
