Drunk Driver Kills Bronx Livery Passenger


Hernan Vega, 37-years-old, was driving on the Cross Bronx Expressway when he rear-ended a stopped cab at a red light, killing the female patron. Pamela Pimentel, 27, was pronounced dead New Year’s Day, while the 54-year-old driver, Mercury Marquis is in stable condition.


Vega had a blood alcohol level of .08 percent and is now facing charges of vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and drunk driving.
