Cold Dinner

Elesha Cruey’s husband, Rhett, and seven-year-old son, Skyler made a quick trip to the Ranger’s Ballpark to pick up tickets. It wasn’t far so Elesha stayed home preparing dinner for the family and she expected them back home in no time.  Her parents were visiting and her mother was watching the evening news when there was a horrific crash on the freeway, recognizing one of the cars that were on fire she called Rhett’s phone many times with no answer.
Elesha decided to drive to the crash scene with her dad. Arriving at the fiery crash site Elesha’s life turned for the worst.  Not that anyone would eat her dinner, but the medical examiner confirmed that both Rhett and Skyler had been killed.  A drunk driver had been driving the wrong way on the highway and hit 11 cars, killing four people two of which were Rhett and Skyler. 

The day after, Elesha found out she was pregnant, this was this was her only reason to keep going. She felt like part of Rhett and Skyler where with that baby.
