Chris Pine, known for playing Captain Kirk in the
“Star Trek” movies, pleaded guilty in a New Zealand court to a charge of drunk
driving. Pine was fined $93 New Zealand dollars ($79 USD) and his New Zealand
driver’s license has been suspended for six months during the court hearing.
Pine’s blood-alcohol level was 0.11%, which is 3%
over the New Zealand’s law of 0.8%. Pine was silent during the whole trial,
allowing his lawyer to enter the plea. He was also said to appear relaxed after
the hearing and stopped to sign some autographs on his way out.
