Sandor Guillen, 39, was found guilty of DUI manslaughter
in an April 2012 crash that killed 13-year-old Kaely Camacho. Guillen faces up
to 30 years in prison and was also convicted of vehicular homicide and leaving
the scene of an accident involving death.
His blood alcohol level was nearly
triple the legal limit, at .226, and was described as “blind stinking drunk”
when he was found after the crash. Following the accident, Guillen fled the
scene and was found in a nearby field covered in. He claimed he had been
assaulted, but DNA evidence on the scene confirms he was driving drunk.
