A firefighter in Bloomington, Indiana was arrested twice in one week
for driving while intoxicated. The
firefighter, James Parrott, was charged with two counts of operating a vehicle
while intoxicated, one count of OUI with a BAC greater than 0.15, and one count
of OUI with a BAC between 0.08 and 0.15.
On Thursday, October 24th, Parrott was shockingly sentenced
to no jail time.
Instead he was sentenced to 50 hours of community service, 180
day license suspension, and 360 days on probation. This light sentence is his only punishment on
top of administrative duty, after two months of unpaid administrative leave.
