Kevin
Hutchins of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was arrested
during the early morning after leading Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputies on a
high speed, 7 mile chase. After being
spotted driving in the wrong lane, police attempted to pull Hutchins over who
sped away from police in an attempt to escape.
Hutchins had been arrested for OWI twice before.
The chase reached 109 mile per hour at one
point, before Hutchins crashed into some barrels and a median wall on the
highway, inuring some pursuing deputies and causing damage to their
cruisers. Hutchins was extremely
aggressive and belligerent when he was taken to the hospital to have a blood
test performed to check his BAC.
Hutchins could receive a 32 year sentence if he is convicted off the
charges he faces. He is reportedly the
1,000th driver who is a repeat offender to be charged with OWI since
they began keeping track in 2010.
