Estes, Mayor of Traverse City, Michigan, was arrested last week after attending
a candidate forum for the election on November 5. Estes was stopped by a
Traverse City police officer after he crossed into the oncoming lane then
swerved across the road into a bicycle lane.
Estes was given a breathalyzer test and was found to have a BAC of 0.12,
which is past the legal limit in Michigan. Estes is planning on running for
reelection in the upcoming election, but has not released any statements
regarding his arrest.
