At a Texas community college, Alvin Community College, students were giving the opportunity to drive a drunk driving simulator. Students drove the simulator, which demonstrated how intoxication limits someone’s ability to drive on the highway.
Along with the simulation, Houston police showed attendees the process of spotting suspected drunken drivers. With events such as these, students are given a first hand look at consequences and how driving is actually impaired.
