Johnnie Walker’s Glass Car Reflects Human Fragility in Drunk-Driving


Johnnie Walker recently had Iris Worldwide produce a 90-second advertisement that both tied in their sponsorship with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 racing team, as well as promote the dangers of driving drunk.


The advertisement conveys the power behind driving, the control it requires and the undeniable truth that drinking does not mix. They’re taking it one step further and asking their consumers to ‘join the pact’ and pledge with the hashtag, #ImNOTdriving.

“The film acts as a reminder of the fragility of human life,” said Grant Hunter, Iris creative director. “Ultimately it’s an alcohol brand stepping up to its responsibilities. And I like to think we’ve delivered it in a beautiful and considered manner.”
