Levi Carter, 28, was arrested after crashing his car into a
sign and driving while under the influence. Iowa City Police received a call at
2 a.m. from Carter’s passenger telling them about his hazardous driving and the
crash that followed.
Police arrived at Carter’s home where they found him unable
to stand without holding himself up. He then admitted to driving the passenger
home and stating he was too intoxicated to complete a field sobriety test. When
he attempted to breath into a preliminary breath test, it read .467 before the
PBT simply said ‘HI.’
