Senate has approved a bill that prevents Michigan alcohol
limits for drivers from increasing to .1%. The bill is being reviewed by
lawmakers for passage that will keep the blood alcohol limit at .08% and
possibly mandate this limit to other forms of motor vehicles. If denied, Michigan
will lose $50 million dollars a year in federal funding to keep national
highways maintained, and further increase the risks of motor vehicle deaths.
