Anhy-Eli Garza, 11-year-old, is recovering from skull fractures after a drunk driver crashed into her family’s car. Garza was buckled up with the other kids in the car on their way to a weekend at grandma’s house.

Police Chief Due In Court On Drunk Driving Charge
Police Chief, Michael Madden, of Oxford County town of Paris
is due in court this week for a drunk driving charge. Madden was driving his
personal vehicle without any passengers when he was pulled over. Police state
that he was very cooperative during the stop.

Grand Ledge Woman Gets 25-50 Years In Fatal Drunk-Driving Crash
Starr Kiogima-McGill, 28, was sentenced to 25 – 50 years in
prison for driving drunk two years ago for causing a crash that killed her
daughter. Kiogima-McGill’s blood-alcohol
level was at least three times the legal amount at the time of the crash. She
was found guilty of second-degree murder and drunken driving causing death.

Carolyn Kesel Arrested For Alleged Drunk Driving After Drinking Vanilla Extract
Carolyn Kesel, 46, was arrested in early January and accused
of drunk driving. She blew a .26 during a breathalyzer test and told
authorities that she had been drinking vanilla extract.

Woman Struck By Suspected Drunk Driver At Home Recovering
Caroline Fouts was out celebrating her birthday before she
was struck by John Cecil Jr.’s car back in December. Cecil hit Fouts in a
crosswalk and continued to drive for about two blocks before finally coming to
a stop. The whole time, Caroline was on top of the car.

Boy Dies From Injuries Sustained In’09 Drunk Driving Crash
Abdallah Khader was just two-years-old when Stewart
Richardson was drunk and crashed into his family’s car back in 2009. That crash
damaged 80 percent of Abdallah’s brain and left him in a vegetative state.
Abdallah, now eight-years-old, died from his injuries this week.

New 2015 Laws Aim To Crack Down On Drunk Drivers
New DWI laws have come into effect for the New Year in Louisiana.
The new law has first-time drunk driving offenders facing a minimum of a $300
fine, as well as 10 days in jail.

Drunk Driver Kills Bronx Livery Passenger
Hernan Vega, 37-years-old, was driving on the Cross Bronx
Expressway when he rear-ended a stopped cab at a red light, killing the female
patron. Pamela Pimentel, 27, was pronounced dead New Year’s Day, while the
54-year-old driver, Mercury Marquis is in stable condition.

106 Arrested In Holiday Drunk Driving Crackdown
San Luis Obispo County in California was determined to
crackdown on drunk drivers this holiday season. They advertised their “Avoid
the 14” DUI campaign for almost a month.
