After FBI statistics revealed that the number of women
arrested for drunk driving is rising, a study researched possible causes for
this growing number. Erin Holmes conducted a voluntary study of women-involved
drunk driving arrests in various counties all over the country.

reasons such as first offender diversion programs, social acceptance, personal
relationships, depression and stress for the possible increase in statistics.
